Next, prepare a toilet for the Pomeranian. You can buy a dedicated dog toilet or make a simple one yourself using unwanted paper or newspaper. Place this toilet in a suitable location in the home. Once the place is fixed, do not move it casually.
3. Correction
If the Pomeranian seems ready to urinate and you take it to the proper toilet area, but it still does not relieve itself there, some correction is appropriate. This can be mild, such as saying "no" loudly or lightly tapping its head, followed by immediate cleanup of the mess.
4. Reward
If the Pomeranian eliminates in the place you chose, praise it right away and give a small reward, such as verbal encouragement, petting, or a small strip of dried chicken. Once the dog understands that this behavior earns a reward, it will remember the lesson clearly.
5. Practice Repeatedly
Even after the Pomeranian has learned to use the correct place, it still needs repeated practice to make sure it keeps doing so every time. In general, a dog's muscles are not mature enough to fully control elimination until it is around five or six months old, so patience remains necessary.
