Can a Cane Corso eat raw eggs directly?
Some people believe raw eggs are natural and therefore good for a Cane Corso. The dog may also enjoy eating them. However, raw eggs contain a protein that can bind to biotin and interfere with the absorption of this important nutrient. This anti-biotin protein is heat-sensitive, and heating can greatly reduce its activity. That means cooked eggs contain far less of this problem than raw eggs do, and from this perspective cooked eggs are much more nutritious and safer for pet dogs.
Why should a Cane Corso not eat egg white?
1: Research has found that eggs contain a protein that may interfere with vitamin H in the dog's body, which can affect the Cane Corso's health to some extent. In general, giving the dog a small amount of egg or egg white once in a while is not a major problem, but long-term or excessive feeding is not ideal.
2: From the Cane Corso's digestive point of view, the dog's stomach and intestines are still relatively delicate. Egg white is not especially easy to digest, and if too much is fed, it can easily cause stomach discomfort. As an owner, occasionally giving the dog a little egg is acceptable, but the amount should always be controlled. Feeding in moderation is the key.
